DATE VIEWED: 10/14/2015

TITLE: Predator

FORMAT: DVD

TIME RIDDEN / FILM LENGTH: 1 hour 47 minutes

DISTANCE RIDDEN WHILE VIEWING: 25.1 miles

TOTAL CINEMA MILES LOGGED: 3119.6 miles

SYNOPSIS: Big men on steroids, with lots of guns, in a rain forest, are stalked by an alien hunter.

CONCEPT IN RELATION TO THE VIEWER:  Arnold at his finest.  Giving the us the next in a line of American Icons.  Macho does not get any thicker than this.

PROS AND CONS:  First of all, you have to take this film for what it is.  An action fantasy that leans heavily on all those things masculine.  Big muscles and big guns…..and a lot of bad-assery.

Memorable are the appearances of Carl Weathers and Jesse Ventura, along with some of Arnold’s better one liners, not to mention a franchise gold mine for later films.

Probably little noticed are the subtle jabs regarding the environment and what happens when you start to mess with it.  it is a profound statement amongst all the explosions and gunfire.
