SYNOPSIS: (from Wikipedia)

15 January 1966
English tropical jungle harbours pompous professor, mad colonel, war-painted spy, and bioweapon against an African nation.
22 January 1966
An Emma impersonator and a string of murders puts Steed onto the trail of a villainous art dealer.

CONCEPT IN RELATION TO THE VIEWER: The shift between understated British cool, and surreal 1960s fantasy.  Meet the X-Files on acid.

PROS AND CONS:  (biased), I adore this series.  It shows the world in a time that millennials (and beyond) cannot never fully understand.

This installment is the first of the series that has starred Diana Rigg.  The change from the previous seasons is pronounced; in cinematography, in story-line, and in eroticism, never mind the change to the iconic theme song.

These two episodes show the divergence in the series.  The first being a surreal / overacted espionage drama and the second being a bizarre farce with granny assassins who use knitting needles to kill.
