CINEMA CYCLE
(Cardio Workout And Reviewing Movies At The Same Time)
DATE REVIEWED: 02/17/2016
FORMAT: LaserDisc
TIME RIDDEN / FILM LENGTH: 1 hour 29 minutes
DISTANCE RIDDEN WHILE VIEWING: 19 miles
TOTAL CINEMA MILES LOGGED: 4165.1 miles
SYNOPSIS: Two high school slackers travel through time to collect historical figures for school presentation.
CONCEPT IN RELATION TO THE VIEWER: Farce and the whimsical notion that you believe anything can happen, so you just roll with it.
PROS AND CONS: A better movie than I thought it would be. The term ‘Laugh Out Loud (LOL)” is often overused, but in this case, I actually laughed at several scenes in the film.
This is the classic high school comedy farce that walks that fine line from being campy or stupid. While this is a comedy pure and simple, it keeps you moving and guessing and trying to figure out what the hell is going on.
The film raises some amusing situations, such as Beethoven at the Hammond Organ store in the mall, or Napoleon Bonaparte playing at a water-park.
