CONCEPT IN RELATION TO THE VIEWER: The everyday thinking man’s James Bond. When the world is against you, and all you have is your superior wit and physic.
PROS AND CONS: A great film for what it is. It is a highly polished Hollywood thrill ride with enough intrigue and plot twist to keep the discerning viewers interested.
That said, is this poor guy ever going to get to retire to a lake in the country and raise chickens or something? How about his awesome fight moves on a Grizzly Bear or pack of wild wolves?
While I know they are ‘badass’, I don’t really want to believe that the FBI/CIA have fleets of Gulfstream jets on standby at Andrews Airforce Base ready to whisk ‘special teams’ to any part of the globe in five hours, ala ‘Criminal Minds’. I have worked in government before, I know how inept they are.
