CINEMA CYCLE
(Cardio Workout And Reviewing Movies At The Same Time)
DATE VIEWED: 09/05/2015
FORMAT: LaserDisc
TIME RIDDEN / FILM LENGTH: 1 hour 37 minutes
DISTANCE RIDDEN WHILE VIEWING: 18.3 miles
TOTAL CINEMA MILES LOGGED: 2552.5 miles
SYNOPSIS: A group of hapless Americans become involved in a murder plot without their knowledge in Monaco.
CONCEPT IN RELATION TO THE VIEWER: Being at the wrong place at the wrong time and making poor decisions will get you into trouble.
PROS AND CONS: I did not like this film much. While it improved somewhat as it progressed, the characters never really became engaging or interesting and seemed more like stupid bumbling idiots. The sort of people that you try to avoid in real life.
This is an Italian film (producer, locations, crew) made with American actors, which makes me wonder if there isn’t an Italian version playing on late night Roman television on a regular basis.
Eugene Levy of Second City Television fame is brought on to direct. However the script is just lacking and the film just doesn’t ‘flow’. The only saving graces are John Candy and Cybil Shepard who show themselves to be a notch above the other actors in the film.
This film is a part of my LaserDisc Collection.
