Cinema Cycle - The Thin Man

A very good film, especially, if you can research when it was made. This was released one year after the repeal of prohibition and when Hollywood still had (by today's standards) draconian censorship rules. This film flouts them all with excessive drinking, partying and double entedres that must have had many 1930s puritans gasping. It starts slow but the ending is uproarious, while Powell and Loy's chemistry hold the whole thing together. Depression era adult fantasy at its best.
