CINEMA CYCLE
(Cardio Workout And Reviewing Movies At The Same Time)

DATE REVIEWED: 11/10/2017

FORMAT: DVD

TIME RIDDEN / FILM LENGTH: 48 minutes

DISTANCE RIDDEN WHILE VIEWING: 14 miles

TOTAL CINEMA MILES LOGGED: 7940.3 miles

SYNOPSIS: (from Wikipedia)
It's October.[6] Peggy's work writing copy for a weight-loss device that is better at providing sexual stimulation earns her a raise. Roger has a second heart attack during a meeting with the head of Lucky Strike, Lee Garner, Sr and as a result, Don is offered a partnership in Sterling Cooper, making Pete jealous. Betty finds a new outlet for her growing dissatisfaction.

CONCEPT IN RELATION TO THE VIEWER: The farther it fades into history, the more surreal these times become.

PROS AND CONS:  Having seen the entire series before, I can pick and choose these individual episodes and concentrate more on the visual feel of the world in 1960.

The reality of a misogynistic male dominated society where liquor and money flowed like water is almost sort of creepy.  I recall as a young child in the 60s seeing men act like this.  Those must have been heady days if you were white and middle-class.
