SYNOPSIS: The history and tenets of the Amish lifestyle are explored and documented.
CONCEPT IN RELATION TO THE VIEWER: People that band together with a common devote cause are a powerful thing.
PROS AND CONS: As a documentary, this is a very balanced and insightful work. It explores the Amish history and culture in ways that most outsiders would not realize.
What the viewer walks away with is a deep respect for the people that impose this type of lifestyle on themselves and the fortitude and ambition that they must have to survive the way they do.
After watching something such as this a feel sloppy and lazy compared to what could be done with the right focus and mindset.
