DATE REVIEWED: 04/05/2017

FORMAT: Laserdisc

TIME RIDDEN / FILM LENGTH: 1 hour 44 minutes

DISTANCE RIDDEN WHILE VIEWING: 21.9 miles

TOTAL CINEMA MILES LOGGED: 6518.9 miles

SYNOPSIS: The authorized biography of Lennon, narrated by himself.

CONCEPT IN RELATION TO THE VIEWER: Revisiting your youth (assuming you are over 50), and learning all the little things you didn’t know.

PROS AND CONS:  A fascinating film that chronicles Lennon’s life from infancy to his death, narrated by Lennon himself.

There is a lot of archival footage here that I had never seen before which made me come to the conclusion that the lives of the Beatles from 1962 onward was chronicled in great detail on film and cinema, well before the age of digital media.

What you walk away with is the portrait of a man who was fascinating and deeply disturbed by the hypocrisy and insanity of modern society.  He was also someone that had more talent than I can ever imagine.
