DATE REVIEWED: 04/04/2017

TITLE: SuperNova

FORMAT: DVD

TIME RIDDEN / FILM LENGTH: 1 hour 33 minutes

DISTANCE RIDDEN WHILE VIEWING: 19.1 miles

TOTAL CINEMA MILES LOGGED: 6612.9 miles

SYNOPSIS: The crew of stranded deep space rescue ship combat an evil alien that they bring aboard.

CONCEPT IN RELATION TO THE VIEWER: Fighting against the unknown in an alien environment.  You know early on that only one person is going to survive.

PROS AND CONS:  This is a fast paced and well produced science fiction / horror film in the same genre as “Alien”.  It was entertaining to watch and had some interesting plot twists.

The ending of the film left me wondering.  Based on the dialog, mankind only had 56 years before the shockwave hits.  Hmmm, depressing.

The relationship between Spader’s character and Angela Bassett, just did not work.  Bassett’s character comes off as a cold hearted bitch with little empathy.  Spader on the other hand channels his best Gary Cooper to very good effect.
