DATE REVIEWED: 01/09/2017

TITLE: Saturn 3

FORMAT: Laserdisc

TIME RIDDEN / FILM LENGTH: 1 hour 28 minutes

DISTANCE RIDDEN WHILE VIEWING: 20.8 miles

TOTAL CINEMA MILES LOGGED: 5992.8 miles

SYNOPSIS: A sociopath programs a robot to kill the inhabitants of an isolated space station.

CONCEPT IN RELATION TO THE VIEWER: Alternate science fiction.  Back in the era of large heavy spaceships and questionable future morals.  Farrah was HOT!

PROS AND CONS:  I can't say that this was really a great film. It has an interesting concept and an interesting production design but overall the film just does not seem to work.

It is fascinating to see Kurt Douglas and Farrah Fawcett along with Harvey Keitel in a bizarre isolated space drama thriller. Kurt is at the end of his Hollywood rein but still looks pretty darn good while Farrah is extremely young and innocent.

The special effects in this science fiction film are rather laughable. Not only for their pre-CGI imagery but also for the design of the various spacecraft and future mechanisms.
