DATE: 12/15/2014

FORMAT: DVD

TIME RIDDEN / FILM LENGTH: 1 hour 23 minutes

DISTANCE RIDDEN WHILE VIEWING: 18.7 miles

TOTAL CINEMA MILES LOGGED: 852 miles

SYNOPSIS: An evil female scientist tricks a fellow scientist into believing that he is a Wolfman to further her experiments in mind control.

CONCEPT IN RELATION TO THE VIEWER:  Horror films are basically pornography without all the sexual imagery.  Italian films rarely translate well when they are dubbed into English.

PROS AND CONS: Where to begin?  There are not many “pros” about this film, except for the fact that there is something entertaining about bad cinema.

This film is from a box set of fifty (yes 50!) horror films on DVD that I stumbled across at the thrift store.  The films are mostly foreign and in the public domain, so don’t expect many Oscar nominees in the bunch.

The plot of this film is rambling and in the end you can’t figure out what the evil scientist intends to do with the Wolfman that she has created.  She appears to be doing it to prove a point and carry on her father’s experiments.

Since this is an Italian film dubbed into English, there are a lot of sexual undertones that probably don’t translate well into another language.  The women are all attractive (too attractive) and there is the unspoken indication that the evil (hot) woman scientist has ‘urges’ for the Wolfman that she has created.  But in the end all sexual frustration appears to go unfulfilled.

Far from being scared or frightened while viewing the film, I laughed out loud quite a lot.

This film was viewed while exercising on my recumbent cycle.  A summary of my time spent working out on my journey through movie-land can be found on Strava.com.

The summary of the project and a glimpse of what is coming up next can be found on my public LaserDisc spreadsheet.
