A Life Too Short

A coworker of mine passed away yesterday. She was in her mid-thirties, cancer, the aggressive kind. She had been going through treatment for the past 2 years. We all knew this day was coming, she wouldn't be coming back. In the end, I wonder if she regretted not doing more reports and answering more office phone calls, or if she wished for more walks on a beach or holding hands with some she loved. It makes you stop and think.

  1. im sorry to hear about your friend. I had a co-worker pass away due to cancer a few months ago. its a very odd feeling that someone who i was not very close to, but still saw every day, is no longer around...

  2. i wonder why it is that it takes great loss (even when its not really your own) to make people stop and question our priorities.

i also wonder why it's often only fleeting and then we go back to the meetings, the emails, the time away from the things we truly treasure.

I lost my mom to cancer and let me tell you it is one bitchy disease that shows no mercy. If her death taught me anything is how life is so fragile and in a blink of an eye it can be gone just like that. Live, Love, Laugh. Nobody knows what the future holds so enjoy life and have fun.
